These Terms of Service apply to your use of Squarrel.io.
By using Squarrel.io, you agree to these Terms.
1. What Squarrel.io is
Squarrel.io is a browser-based multiplayer game.
You can play global disputes without an account. You can also join custom lobbies without an account.
An account is required to host custom lobbies, use account-only features, and use premium features. Some account features may require a verified email address.
Squarrel.io is a general-audience game.
Squarrel.io is for entertainment only. The service does not offer betting, wagering, paid contest entries, cash prizes, material prizes, stored value, crypto, or cash-out. Squarrel Premium is a digital account upgrade for custom/private lobby hosting settings only.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login details secure.
You must provide accurate account information and keep your email address accessible if you use account features.
We may require email verification before you can host custom lobbies, buy premium features, or use other account-only features.
If you believe someone has accessed your account without permission, contact support@squarrel.io.
3. Guest play
You can play as a guest without creating an account.
Guest play uses a guest session so the game can recognize you during play, reloads, and reconnects.
If you clear cookies or browser storage, change browsers, or change devices, you may lose access to the same guest session.
Guest play does not guarantee permanent identity, records, access, or recovery.
4. Fair play
Do not cheat, exploit bugs, automate gameplay, tamper with requests, manipulate scores, disrupt the service, or interfere with other players' experience.
We may remove or reset suspicious records, scores, lobby state, or other gameplay results.
We may restrict access to the game, accounts, custom lobbies, premium features, or specific functionality if we believe there has been cheating, abuse, security misuse, or serious rule-breaking.
If you discover a bug or exploit, do not abuse it. Report it to support@squarrel.io.
5. Display names and user content
You are responsible for display names and any other content you create, upload, or submit where those features are available.
You must not create, upload, or use content that is:
- illegal;
- hateful, abusive, harassing, threatening, or discriminatory;
- sexually explicit or otherwise inappropriate for a general-audience game;
- misleading or impersonating someone else;
- infringing someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
- malicious, unsafe, or designed to attack, track, exploit, or disrupt the service or other users.
You must have the rights needed to use any content you upload or submit.
By submitting content, you give us permission to use, store, display, adapt, moderate, and remove it as needed to operate Squarrel.io and provide the relevant features.
Uploaded custom theme content is cosmetic, used only within Squarrel.io custom/private lobbies, and is not sold through a user marketplace. Uploaded theme content must follow Squarrel.io content rules and may be removed or disabled if inappropriate.
We do not actively review all user-created content before it appears. We may remove or disable content, custom lobbies, accounts, premium features, or specific functionality if content is reported, appears to break these Terms, creates legal or security risk, or is otherwise harmful to the service or players.
6. Custom lobbies
Custom lobbies can be joined by guests or account users. Hosting a custom lobby requires an account and may require a verified email address.
The lobby host is responsible for how the custom lobby is used.
Custom lobbies may be closed by the host, by us, or automatically by the system.
We do not guarantee that custom lobbies, lobby records, lobby state, custom lobby options, or custom lobby content will remain available permanently.
7. Premium features and purchases
Squarrel.io offers paid Premium features, such as Squarrel Premium, which unlocks additional options for custom-lobby hosts.
Premium features may require an account and a verified email address.
If you are under the age required to make purchases or enter contracts in your country, you may buy premium features only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
Premium features are for use within Squarrel.io and do not give you ownership of the service, game systems, or underlying software.
If you misuse premium features, upload prohibited content, break these Terms, or create legal, security, or abuse risks, we may restrict, suspend, or remove access to those features.
Payments, taxes, receipts, and checkout details are handled by Paddle, Squarrel's Merchant of Record. Refunds are governed by the Refunds section below.
The exact price, currency, taxes, and any additional purchase terms are shown by Paddle at checkout.
Refunds
You may request a refund for any purchase within 14 days, for any reason.
Refund requests are handled by Paddle, Squarrel's Merchant of Record. You can request a refund through Paddle using the transaction details from your receipt, or contact us at support@squarrel.io and we will help direct the request.
If a purchase is refunded, Squarrel Premium access may be removed from the associated Squarrel.io account.
This policy does not limit any mandatory consumer rights that may apply in your country.
8. Ads
Squarrel.io shows ads to support the free game.
Ads may be provided by Google AdSense or related Google advertising services. Ads may be personalized where allowed by law and your consent choices.

9. Service changes and availability
Squarrel.io is provided as an evolving game.
We may add, change, rebalance, reset, limit, or remove features, game modes, custom lobby options, records, scores, premium features, or other parts of the service.
We do not guarantee that Squarrel.io will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or unchanged.
Gameplay records, scores, lobbies, custom lobby options, account features, and other game data are not guaranteed to be permanent.
10. Account deletion and data
You can use available account tools to export or delete account data.
Account deletion may require you to close open hosted lobbies first.
Account deletion may remove or disable your account, profile, login credentials, account link, account-only features, and account-linked content or features, subject to the Privacy Policy.
Some historical gameplay records, old display names, custom lobby data, or support records may remain for a limited time where needed for cleanup, service integrity, legal, security, abuse-prevention, or payment/accounting reasons.

11. Reports and support
You can report bugs, abuse, cheating, suspicious records, inappropriate content, account issues, privacy requests, or payment problems at support@squarrel.io.
We may review reports and decide what action, if any, is appropriate.
12. Intellectual property
Squarrel.io, including its software, design, game systems, text, graphics, and other original content, belongs to us or our licensors.
You may use Squarrel.io only as allowed by these Terms and by the normal functionality of the game.
You keep whatever rights you already have in content you upload or submit. However, you give us the permission described in the "Display names and user content" section so we can operate the game and provide the relevant features.
Do not copy, reverse engineer, scrape, resell, or misuse Squarrel.io except where allowed by law.
13. Ending or restricting access
You may stop using Squarrel.io at any time.
We may suspend, restrict, or end access to Squarrel.io, an account, custom lobbies, premium features, uploaded content, or specific functionality if we believe it is necessary to protect the service, players, legal rights, security, or fair play.
14. Disclaimer
Squarrel.io is provided "as is" and "as available."
We try to keep the game reliable and enjoyable, but we do not promise that it will always work perfectly, remain available, preserve every record, or meet every expectation.
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights you have under applicable law.
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, records, profits, goodwill, or access resulting from your use of Squarrel.io.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot legally be limited.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when Squarrel.io changes or when legal, technical, or business needs require it.
When we make material changes, we will update the date above.
Your continued use of Squarrel.io after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Czechia, unless mandatory law gives you additional rights that cannot be waived.
